Choose a topic about the conflict or influence between Taiwanese and Japanese culture after reading the three articles. The paper should be critical analysis (not a plot summary) of two or three of the articles, and should involve solid research in secondary sources.

The purpose of the assignment is to facilitate critical thinking. To start with, you will choose a topic of your interest. In the process of formulating your thesis and argumentation, you will conduct research to see what scholarly references are available in support of your arguments and claims.  

Format: 6-8 1.5-spaced pages, using 12-point Times New Roman font. You must also include a works cited page of at least five reference works (excluding the films or other primary materials that you discuss in your paper) at the end of your paper. The paper should follow the MLA style of documentation
