For this course, you will write an analytical research paper regarding legislation related to hospitality. Though the course has generally concentrated on lodging, you may select a topic that has a broader impact on the hospitality industry. 

For this discussion thread, you will identify the topic you have chosen to research for the term project and provide the reasoning of why you selected that topic. Briefly explain the significance of the topic and the influence on the hospitality industry. Limit your explanation to two paragraphs or a bullet point outline.

A list of topics has been provided, but you may choose another topic that would need my approval. Consider some of the topics of discussion that have come up during the first few weeks. I may have also highlighted several topics that are related to current events.

You are not expected to engage with classmates, but you may comment or provide feedback if you like.  You are expected to respond to any follow-up question from the teacher and choose a different topic if the proposed topic is denied.

The completion of this exercise will be 5% of the overall grade of the term project.  This will be graded as pass/fail, complete/incomplete, 100 or 0 points
