TASK: You will demonstrate this by meeting if not exceeding the following expectations:
1. This paper is not to be a rehashing of your readings or our class discussions on communication theory. This paper is a demonstration and reporting of what you are applying to your real life or of how you should be applying to your real life the content of this course.
2. You are expected to incorporate the terminology of this course content into your reporting.
3. In doing so, you are expected to focus on your newer communication behaviors and perceptions that you actually possess OR the communication behaviors and perceptions that you should be possessing.
FOR EXAMPLE:
EX. You may focus on listening and response skills that you have been applying or should be applying when interacting with your case study.
EX. You may focus on self-monitoring and impression-making and how you are practicing OR should be practicing more deliberate identity management with your case study.
EX. You may focus on conflict management and demonstrate how you have changed OR should change in order to reduce dysfunctional conflict in your interactions with your case study.
EX. You may focus on a variety of concepts and demonstrate how you have applied OR should be applying them when interacting with your case study.

FORMAT: PART I: General Description of Typical Interactions with your Case Study – Describe what is working and what is not working when interacting with your Case Study. (30 points)

PART II: Giving specific examples, show me how you are applying or should be applying the course content. I do not expect transcripts or mere re-telling of events. Show me what you are learning this semester and be specific, accurate and precise in your reporting. Show me that you put careful thought into developing this application section. (50 points)

PART III: HAVE YOUR PERCEPTIONS CHANGED? Are you doing your part as an effective communicator? As a result of COM101 how have your perceptions changed regarding the way you view that important person in your life as well as the way you come across to that important person? Remember to use course content in responding to part III. (20 points)

OPTIONAL PART IV: Work Cited Section – you are expected to use your own words; however, if you choose to quote outside sources (or paraphrase outside sources) you are expected to credit them in the text itself as well as in a work cited section. (possible extra 5 points)
