Summer 2020 Exam# 1
Essay 1 topic: Explain in your own words what is molecule polarity, and why is the importance of this polarity.
Essay 2 topic: Explain in your own words what is the octet rule, and what this rule and its exceptions have to do with the shapes of molecules.
Essay 3 topic: Explain in your own words what are quantum numbers and what these numbers have to do with the electron structures of the atoms of each element, and with the chemical properties of each element.
Essay 4 topic: Explain in your own words what is the greenhouse effect, what are the causes of the greenhouse effect, and what is the importance of this effect for you personally.
Essay 5 topic: Explain in your own words what is the second law of thermodynamics, and what every person should know about the importance of this law.
For full credit, your email to me with your answers must be sent and dated before 10:30 pm tonight.
If your email is sent after 10:30 pm but before 11:00 pm, there will be a 10% penalty.
If your email is sent after 11:00 pm but before 11:30 pm, there will be a 20% penalty.
If your email is sent after 11:30 pm, there will be a 100% penalty.
